Overview

Quarried out of the shelf above the river road by crews who rotate between wet-blasting and dry-cutting depending on the week's rainfall. The blocks move downriver on barges under a schedule the quarrymaster publishes nowhere, because the upstream yards would buy out the summer's output in a morning if the schedule leaked. Masons grade the stock by ring, and the old masters can tell which bed a block came from by the way the chisel answers.
