Material
Stackable
Raw skin taken off a carcass, still stiff with salt on the flesh side and smelling of the animal it was. Rolled hair-in for carrying, and heavier than it looks.
Entry
Skinned off a carcass and tanned into leather. The common skin: a wolf pelt keeps its fur and is worth more for it.
Chronicle
A hide is worth nothing to the hunter and something to the tanner, which is why the two are so often the same person in a small town. It will not keep: left a week unsalted it is a smell, and left a month it is a rumour about where the smell came from.
