Jareds Teddy Bear is not a bear at all. This curio is a ziplock bag kinda sealed, stuffed with brittle newspaper clippings and topped with a smiley face drawn in black permanent marker. There’s a warmth to it… even if the warmth is mostly from your pity.

It has since followed its owner through three cities and one federal subpoena, always ending up at the top of the moving box whether it was packed that way or not. The newspaper inside reports events that have not yet happened, although only in the classifieds section.
