Material
Stackable
A single glossy black needle, finger-length and stiff, tapering from a pale base to a point that catches light from surprising angles. Sharper dry than wet, and unforgiving of careless pockets.
Entry
Chronicle
Pulled from the old barrel cacti out on the southern flats, where the plants grow slow and the needles come off cleanly if you thank them first. Tanners use them for leather awls, seamstresses for anything they do not want bending mid-stitch, and healers for a specific kind of bloodletting that the guild has stopped printing in its handbooks. A bundle trades at the border for a day's ration, sometimes two if the caravan has just come up from the dunes.
