🌵
Material
Stackable
Pale green slab of cactus flesh still weeping clear sap at the edges, the skin trimmed off on one face and left intact on the other. Smells faintly of cucumber and turned soil.
Entry
Chronicle
Harvested in narrow slices from the older barrel cacti, because a slab that large will regrow within a season if the cut is clean. Kitchens use it boiled or pickled, apothecaries use it drained and reduced, and nobody reputable eats it raw unless they are already in an argument with someone.
