ArmorCombat
StackableEquipped
Full plate of overlapping iron lames held together by leather straps and a modest quantity of honest faith, the surface buffed to a dull sheen that refuses to catch daylight. Moves with the wearer once the straps have been fitted by somebody who has done it before.

Chronicle
Commissioned by the provincial garrisons under a supply contract that rotates between three workshops on a five-year cycle, so that no single master ever becomes indispensable. The plates ship unfinished and the garrison's own armorer fits them to each sergeant, on the old principle that an ill-fitting suit is worse than a well-fitted mail shirt. A suit lasts two careers if maintained, one if not, and the maintenance is the quiet difference between a garrison that wins engagements and one that merely attends them.
