The Rubber Tire is a classic, rugged loop of flexible material once central to ground-based travel. Now, it’s a multi-purpose item used in transport chassis, obstacle courses, and sometimes just burned for warmth or smoke cover.
It creaks when rolled. Thuds when thrown. Smells faintly like apocalypse mixed with asphalt and a hint of ozone depletion.
Recovered from junkyards, burnt-out cars, and forgotten racing arenas.

Lore
Pulled off a sedan in the back lot of the salvage yard by a mechanic who keeps a running list of which tires came off which cars, in a notebook nobody else is allowed to touch. Useful as ballast, as swing support, as the base of a weight-rack for somebody's unfinished home gym, and in the late stages of neighborhood disputes nobody officially wants to own. A tire this old should not go back on a road, which is why the yard will not sell it with an axle.
