Steel shin-cuffs clasp over mid-calf boots of scuffed grey leather, each sole housing a ring of microthrusters around a central electromagnetic coil. They hum faintly when powered on, and the footsteps they leave dent the floor instead of marking it.
Entry

Enables ceiling walks and high leaps.
Gravity Boots allow quick vertical maneuvers and effortless ceiling strolls. Originally designed for station repairs, they found their way into daring expeditions and flashy heists.
Their thrusters hum softly, adjusting magnetic grip as you step.
“With these on, up and down are just suggestions.”

Once reserved for elite zero-gravity units, surplus pairs now circulate among smugglers and explorers.
Chronicle
Produced as working prototypes by a defense-contract subsidiary that was shuttered inside eighteen months, and leaked into circulation when the assets auction went ahead without the inventory register. Pilots describe the activation surge as a short drop followed by a longer rise, which is apparently easier to learn than it sounds and considerably easier to unlearn. The charge reserve burns through in four jumps, and the replacement cell is made by a supplier the original contractor is no longer speaking to.
