Lumbercamp

A log cabin with horizontal-beam walls, a green-roof pitched to shed rain, a stone chimney puffing smoke when the crew is on shift. Stacked logs to one side, a chopping stump to the other with a steel axe planted upright in the wood. The whole camp smells of sap and hot tea.

Lumbercamp

A log cabin with stacked firewood, a chopping stump, and a steel axe buried in the block. Forest-only building — converts Lumberjack labour into logs.

  • Production — recipe buffer runs a → WoodLog cycle (3s). Outputs ship to the Capital via SurplusExport.
  • Tender required — needs a Lumberjack on the hex (or sheltered inside) to advance the cycle. No Lumberjack, no logs.
  • Biome constraint — must be placed on a Forest tile. Refused by the placement validator on any other biome.
  • Ledger — carries a LumbercampLedger buffer for local WoodLog storage before surplus ships.
  • Footprint — single hex. Must be placed inside Player territory on Forest.
  • Durability — 200 HP. Repaired by Builders pulling Timber from the Capital.

A Lumbercamp is a relationship more than a building. The crew that runs it learns the forest’s temperament — which trees fall clean, which split along the grain, which have wasp nests you only find the hard way. Crews rotate camps every few seasons to keep the forest healthy, but the best foresters are the ones who stay put for a decade.
