What it is

kbve.com, as a file server. The Astro/Starlight build in apps/kbve/web — most of its pages rendered from docs/ — precompressed at build time and handed out by the axum in apps/kbve/web/server on port 8080. No credential in the image, and nothing in it that answers an API.

Where the dynamic routes go

kbve.com used to be one image: axum-kbve served this site’s build and answered /api, the forum, @user profiles, /ws and the rest beside it. Those stay with axum-kbve for now, and the gateway sends them there; this image takes everything else. As each one moves into a service of its own, its route moves with it, and axum-kbve shrinks to nothing.

Releasing

StepWhat happens
Bump version: aboveThe only edit a release needs
kbve-web jobStamps version.toml and the crate manifest, builds, pushes $IMAGE:$VERSION
kbve-web-deploy jobOpens a merge request repointing kbve-web-deployment.yaml
ArgoCDSyncs the default branch

The version continues kbve.com’s own line, from the last axum-kbve build of the site at 1.0.296, and the footer reads version.toml, so the number a visitor sees is the tag that shipped.
