Gold bar is smelted from one gold ore at Smithing level 40, earning 22.5 Smithing XP normally or 56.2 XP per bar with Goldsmith gauntlets (reward from the Family Crest quest). Gold bars are the universal jewellery Crafting input — rings, necklaces, amulets, and bracelets all start from a gold bar and the appropriate mould. Blast Furnace gold bars are one of the top Smithing training methods in the game.
