The onyx necklace is crafted at a furnace by combining an onyx gem and a gold bar with a necklace mould (level 82 Crafting, 120 XP). The gold bar takes on the dark onyx hue when smelted.

Enchanting via Lvl-6 Enchant (87 Magic, 1 cosmic + 20 fire + 20 earth runes) transforms the necklace into a Berserker necklace, which grants a unique 20 percent damage boost when wielding obsidian melee weapons (Toktz-xil-ak, Tzhaar-ket-om, Toktz-xil-ek). This stacks with the obsidian armour set bonus for up to 30 percent total damage increase, popular for NMZ training and low-level Slayer.
