About Steel limbs
"A pair of steel crossbow limbs."
Steel limbs are a Smithing intermediate forged from a single steel bar at 36 Smithing for 37.5 XP. They combine with a teak stock at 46 Fletching for 54 XP to produce a steel crossbow (u), which is then strung with crossbow string. Originally released alongside the wider crossbow rework, steel limbs are mostly used by mid-level Smithing and Fletching trainers and rarely traded for direct combat use because the steel crossbow itself is quickly outclassed.
