FAQ

What tool should I use on Birch Leaves?

Shears or a Silk Touch tool if you want the leaf block itself; a hoe breaks them fastest otherwise, though any tool works.

Do Birch Leaves ever drop apples?

No. Only oak and dark oak leaves have a chance to drop apples; birch leaves never do.

Why did the leaves above my cut tree disappear?

Leaves not within 6 blocks of a connected log or wood block decay automatically after a short delay in Java Edition.

Does Fortune help when breaking Birch Leaves?

Yes. Fortune increases the chance of sapling and stick drops, though it has no effect if you use Silk Touch instead.
