Combining Ashes with a Vial of water yields the unfinished mix; finishing it with Tarromin at 50 Herblore produces Serum 207 (3), the active reagent for purifying shades. Outside the quest, the item exists mostly as a Herblore curio with a tiny 6-coin alch value.
