The Staff of water is a basic elemental staff usable in free-to-play that supplies an unlimited number of water runes while equipped. It is a staple early-game item for Magic training - particularly Water strike through Water blast spells and the Water surge line for higher-level players who do not yet have a Kodai wand or Master wand.
Players typically buy it from Zaff in Varrock or off the Grand Exchange and either keep it as a low-cost utility weapon or upgrade to a Water battlestaff once they have access to members content.
