About Soulreaper axe

"An axe that manipulates the very lifeforce of those who touch it."

Soulreaper axe is the post-Desert Treasure II two-handed BiS crush/slash weapon, requiring 80 Attack and Strength to wield and 75 Magic (unboostable) to assemble at the Ancient Vault lectern. Its Soul Stacks mechanic trades self-damage for a stacking Strength bonus up to +30 percent, and the free Behead special heals the user. It excels at single-target bossing where the player can mitigate or out-heal the self-damage tax.

History (1)

  1. 2023-07-26

Released with Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire as the four-boss combine reward.

Market Strategy

  • Price is the sum of four DT2 unique drops plus 2,000 blood runes - fundamentals follow boss kills per hour.
  • Not GE-limited (limit null), so high-roll buyers can move size.
  • Demand swings hard on new high-tier PvM releases that favor crush/slash.
  • High alch of 144,000 gp is far below cost - never alch.

Trading Tips

Track component price spread: arbitrage when sum-of-parts diverges from assembled axe.
Buy Executioner's axe head and Eye of the duke dips - those bosses are the bottleneck.
Pre-position before announced PvM updates - history shows 30 percent plus swings on meta shifts.
