"A potato seed - plant in an allotment."

Potato seed is the first seed unlockable in the Farming skill, plantable in allotment patches at level 1 for 8 Farming XP. Three seeds are sown per patch and grow into potato plants after 40 minutes, each yielding at least 3 potatoes (up to 6 with ultracompost). A nearby gardener will protect the patch for 2 buckets of compost.
