About Leather

"It's a piece of leather."

Leather is obtained by tanning cowhide at a tannery (1 coin per hide in Al Kharid). It is the entry-level material for Crafting, used to make a wide range of light armour pieces with a needle and thread. Leather gloves, boots, cowl, vambraces, body, and chaps form the base F2P Crafting progression chain, with coif unlocking at level 38. Leather is also a quest item for Vampyre Slayer.
