About Black platebody (g)

"Black platebody with gold trim."

Black platebody (g) is the gold-trimmed cosmetic variant of the standard black platebody, awarded only as a 1/1,404 reward from easy clue scroll caskets. It carries identical 41/40/30 stab/slash/crush defence stats to the standard piece (no Strength or Prayer bonuses) and a 10 Defence requirement, so it is purely a Treasure Trails fashionscape and costume room piece for F2P clue hunters.

Market Strategy

  • Pure cosmetic - price tracks easy clue completion rates, not combat utility
  • GE buy limit of 8 per 4 hours keeps spreads thin
  • Costume room storage acts as a permanent supply sink
  • Set-piece bundles (g full helm + platelegs + kiteshield) trade at a premium versus single pieces

Trading Tips

Build the full (g) set in one buy window - bundle resale carries a 10-20% set premium
Avoid longs ahead of easy clue rebalances - new reward additions dilute (g) drop weight
Watch costume room popularity - fashionscape metas push demand seasonally
