About Black kiteshield (g)

"Black kiteshield with gold trim."

Black kiteshield (g) is the gold-trimmed cosmetic variant of the standard black kiteshield, awarded from easy Treasure Trails reward caskets at roughly 1/1,404. It carries the same combat stats as the base shield, requires 10 Defence to wield, and is one of the few F2P clue rewards usable on free worlds, making it a budget cosmetic flex for low-level PKers and clue enthusiasts.

Market Strategy

  • GE buy limit of 8 per 4 hours keeps daily flips tight.
  • Supply is bottlenecked by easy clue completion rates - rises during DMM/Leagues lulls when clue grinders multiply.
  • Demand spikes around free-trade or F2P PK events where gold trims show off without member gear.
  • High alch of 979 gp is far below GE price; never alch.

Trading Tips

Watch easy clue casket droprate threads for supply surges after major QoL changes.
Pair flips with other easy-clue gold trims (Black platelegs (g), Black platebody (g)) for set-piece arbitrage.
Hold through Leagues launches - clue activity falls, supply tightens.
