Oxidized Copper is the final weathering stage of the Block of Copper, a mineral storage block equivalent to nine copper ingots that gains a teal, verdigris appearance after passing through the exposed and weathered stages. Unlike the unoxidized block, it can no longer be crafted back into copper ingots unless it was waxed before oxidizing.

FAQ

How does a Block of Copper become Oxidized Copper?

Non-waxed copper blocks weather naturally over time through random ticks, progressing from Block of Copper to Exposed, then Weathered, and finally Oxidized Copper.

Can Oxidized Copper be turned back into copper ingots?

Only if it was waxed with honeycomb before oxidizing; once fully oxidized and unwaxed, it cannot be crafted back into ingots, though an axe can scrape off one oxidation stage at a time.

What can Oxidized Copper be used for?

It can be stonecut into oxidized cut copper, slabs, and stairs, used as a crafting ingredient for copper bulbs and grates, and paired with a carved pumpkin to build a copper golem.

Can lightning affect Oxidized Copper?

Yes, a lightning strike fully deoxidizes the struck copper block and can partially deoxidize nearby copper blocks as well.
