Weathered Copper Trapdoor
minecraft:weathered_copper_trapdoorWeathered Copper Trapdoor is the third oxidation stage of the copper trapdoor, sitting between Exposed and Oxidized. It opens and closes like a normal trapdoor via player interaction or redstone power, but its green-tinged patina slowly deepens further unless the block is waxed with honeycomb.
Uses
- Waxed Weathered Copper Trapdoor — Combine with a honeycomb to lock the trapdoor at this oxidation stage, preventing it from ever turning fully Oxidized.
Found In
- Trial Chambers — Weathered is an intermediate stage, so it mostly appears as a block placed by players from a fresh copper trapdoor left to age, or briefly while a naturally generated trapdoor is mid-oxidation.
- Player-built redstone contraptions — Used as an oxidizing decorative trapdoor for vaults, hatches, and redstone doors.

FAQ
What tool do I need to mine it?
A stone pickaxe or better. Mining with anything weaker, or by hand, destroys the block without dropping it.
Does it keep oxidizing after I place it?
Yes, unless waxed. A Weathered Copper Trapdoor will eventually progress to Oxidized Copper Trapdoor over time.
How do I stop it from oxidizing further?
Right-click it with a honeycomb to wax it, locking in the current Weathered stage permanently.
Can I reverse the oxidation?
Yes. Scraping it with an axe removes one oxidation stage, turning it back into Exposed Copper Trapdoor.
