Waxed Weathered Copper
minecraft:waxed_weathered_copperWaxed Weathered Copper is a storage block equivalent to nine copper ingots, permanently held at the weathered (green patina) oxidation stage by a honeycomb coating. It behaves identically to unwaxed weathered copper except that it never progresses to the oxidized stage.
Uses
- Cut Copper and variants — Stonecut or craft into Weathered Cut Copper, slabs, stairs, and chiseled copper, all inheriting the waxed weathered finish.
- Copper Golem — Combine with a carved pumpkin to build a copper golem, which itself slowly oxidizes and can be waxed the same way.
Found In
- Trial Chambers — Generates naturally as waxed copper at various oxidation stages, including weathered, throughout vault structures.
- Crafted from Copper Ingots — Craft 1 Weathered Copper block from 9 Copper Ingots that have naturally oxidized to that stage, then wax with honeycomb.

FAQ
Does waxed weathered copper still oxidize further?
No. Honeycomb waxing permanently locks it at the weathered stage; it will never progress to fully oxidized.
What tool do I need to mine it?
A stone pickaxe or better. Wood tools or bare hands break the block without dropping it, and Silk Touch has no effect on the drop.
Can I scrape the wax off later?
No, waxed copper cannot be un-waxed. Scrape oxidation with an axe before waxing if you want a different stage.
Can I convert copper ingots back out of this block?
No, copper blocks cannot be uncrafted back into ingots in vanilla survival; only a crafting table conversion the other direction exists.
