minecraft:vaultThe Vault is a loot-dispensing block found only in trial chambers, paired with trial spawners. It sits inert until a nearby player uses a trial key, at which point it ejects a reward and locks itself against that player permanently.
Uses
- Trial Key — Insert a Trial Key (or Ominous Trial Key) into a vault to unlock it and receive 2–5 stacks of loot such as emeralds, arrows, enchanted gear, or rare items.

- Trial Chambers — Generates on waxed cut copper pedestals in every room containing a trial spawner, plus the entrance room.
FAQ
Can I mine a Vault?
No. It has no associated tool and drops nothing when broken — it is meant to stay in place inside its trial chamber.
Can I open the same Vault twice?
Not as the same player. Each vault can be opened once per player, but different players can still unlock it for their own loot.
What key does a Vault need?
A regular Trial Key for normal vaults, or an Ominous Trial Key (dropped by Ominous Trial Spawners) for ominous vaults with better loot.
Does a Vault give light?
Yes. It emits light level 6 while idle and 12 while active or ejecting loot.
