Tuff is an ornamental stone that generates underground in large blob formations, modeled after real volcanic tuff rock formed from compressed ash. It shares tuff's mottled gray look across a growing family of polished, brick, chiseled, slab, stair, and wall variants.

Uses

  • Polished Tuff — Craft or stonecut Tuff into Polished Tuff, Tuff Bricks, Chiseled Tuff, and their slab/stair/wall forms for building.

Found In

  • Overworld underground, Y=-64 to Y=0 — Generates in large blob formations, especially below Y=0, with roughly 2 attempts per chunk.
  • Iron ore veins and sulfur springs — Also appears embedded in deepslate iron ore veins and near deep dark sulfur spring formations.
  • Trial Chambers — Tuff-family blocks and bricks appear as building material and loot in Trial Chamber structures.
