FAQ

How much light does a stack of Purple Candles give?

Each lit candle adds light level 3, so one candle gives 3, two give 6, three give 9, and four give the maximum of 12.

Can I waterlog a Purple Candle?

Yes, but waterlogged candles cannot be lit, and water extinguishes any candle that is already burning.

Is the Purple Candle flammable?

No. Candles do not catch fire from lava or spreading fire despite being a light source.

Can I change a Purple Candle back to a different color?

No. Once dyed, a candle's color is permanent — you would need to craft a fresh candle and dye it again.
