FAQ
What tool do I need to mine Deepslate Copper Ore?
A stone pickaxe or better. Mining with wood or by hand drops nothing.
Does Fortune affect the drop?
Yes. Fortune III can push the average yield up to about 7.7 raw copper, with a maximum of 20.
Does deepslate copper ore oxidize like copper blocks?
No. Despite its weathered-looking texture, the ore itself does not oxidize; only crafted copper blocks do.
Why does it take longer to mine than regular copper ore?
Its hardness is 4.5 versus 3 for the stone-hosted variant, so it takes roughly 1.5x longer with the same tool.
