Uses

  • Crimson Forest Spread — Applying bone meal to nylium spreads it across nearby netherrack and grows crimson fungi, roots, and vines in a 5x5 area.

Found In

  • Crimson Forest biome — Generates as the primary ground block throughout crimson forests in the Nether.
  • Bastion Remnant chests — Found in hoglin stable chests in stacks of 2-7 at roughly a 23% chance.

What tool do I need to mine Crimson Nylium?

Any pickaxe, wood tier or higher. Mining without a pickaxe destroys the block with no drop.

Does mining it always give Nylium back?

No. Without Silk Touch it drops netherrack; only Silk Touch recovers the nylium block itself.

Why does my Nylium turn back into netherrack?

Nylium decays to netherrack if an opaque block is placed directly on top of it, unless the covering block is snow.
