Uses

  • Copper Ingot Storage — Crafted from 9 copper ingots in a 3x3 grid and can be uncrafted back into ingots, giving a compact 9:1 storage ratio.
  • Copper Bulb / Grate — Used as the base material to craft copper bulbs and copper grates, and can be cut into slabs, stairs, and doors at a stonecutter.

Found In

  • Crafted only — Not found naturally generated; obtained by smelting raw copper ore into ingots and crafting them into a block.
  • Copper Golem builds — Used as a structural component when building a copper golem.

FAQ

What tool do I need to mine a Block of Copper?

A stone pickaxe or better. Mining with wood, gold, or bare hands destroys the block with no drop.

Does a Block of Copper oxidize over time?

Yes, unless waxed. It progresses through Exposed, Weathered, and Oxidized stages, each changing its color and texture.

How do I stop it from oxidizing?

Apply honeycomb to create a waxed copper block, which locks it at its current oxidation stage permanently.

Can I reverse oxidation?

Yes. An axe scrapes off one oxidation stage per use, and lightning strikes can also de-oxidize nearby copper blocks.
