Chorus Flower
minecraft:chorus_flowerThe Chorus Flower is the growing tip of a Chorus Plant, the alien flora that crowns Chorus Trees scattered across the End's outer islands. It cycles through growth ages before turning purple and halting once fully mature.
Uses
- Chorus Fruit Farming — Chorus Plants grown from flowers yield Chorus Fruit, which is edible and randomly teleports the player a short distance when eaten, and can be baked into Popped Chorus Fruit for End Rod and Purpur crafting.
- Replanting — Breaking a mature (purple) chorus flower and replanting it lets the plant resume growing, useful for expanding a chorus fruit farm.
Found In
- The End (outer islands) — Grows naturally atop Chorus Trees rooted in end stone.
- Player-built farms — Can be planted and grown on end stone in any dimension, including the Overworld.
Drops
FAQ
What happens if I break a growing Chorus Flower?
It drops itself as an item, which can be replanted on end stone to start a new chorus plant.
Does it drop anything if destroyed by a piston or water?
No. Chorus Flowers only drop themselves when broken directly or shot with a projectile; pistons, flowing water, and losing their supporting block destroy them with no drop.
Can I grow Chorus Flowers outside The End?
Yes. Bring end stone and a chorus flower to any dimension — it grows the same way as long as it's planted on end stone with air above.
What tool should I use to harvest it?
Any tool works, though an axe breaks it fastest; it has no minimum tool requirement to drop.
