Chiseled Copper
minecraft:chiseled_copperChiseled Copper is a decorative copper building block with an ornamental banded pattern, crafted by stacking cut copper slabs. Like other copper blocks it weathers through four oxidation stages and can be waxed with honeycomb to freeze its look.
Uses
- Decorative building — Stack two Cut Copper Slabs vertically in a crafting grid, or cut a Block of Copper at a stonecutter (1 copper block yields 4 chiseled copper), to produce this ornamental variant.
Found In
- Trial Chambers — Generates as a waxed decorative block within trial chamber vaults and corridors.
- Player-crafted — Most commonly obtained by crafting or stonecutting copper blocks/slabs.

FAQ
What tool do I need to mine Chiseled Copper?
A stone pickaxe or better. A wooden pickaxe (or bare hands) breaks the block but yields no drop.
Does Chiseled Copper oxidize like other copper blocks?
Yes, the un-waxed form progresses through normal, exposed, weathered, and oxidized stages over time, changing from orange-brown to teal-green. Waxing with honeycomb halts the process at its current stage.
Can I reverse oxidation on Chiseled Copper?
Yes. Right-clicking with an axe scrapes off one oxidation stage, and the block can be waxed afterward to lock it in.
Is Chiseled Copper affected by Fortune or Silk Touch?
No. It always drops itself as a single block regardless of enchantments once mined with at least a stone pickaxe.
