FAQ

What tool do I need to mine a candle?

None. Any tool, or bare hands, breaks a candle instantly and always drops the candle itself.

Can candles be waterlogged?

Yes, but a waterlogged candle cannot be lit until the water is removed.

How much light does a candle give off?

Only when lit. One lit candle gives light level 3, and up to four stacked candles of the same color give up to light level 12.

Are candles flammable?

No, the candle block itself does not catch fire or burn, even though its flame can ignite nearby flammable blocks.
