What tool do I need to mine a bed?
None. Any tool, or bare hands, breaks it instantly and it always drops itself.
Can I sleep in a blue bed anywhere?
Only in the Overworld, and only when the sky light level is 11 or below (night or thunderstorm). Sleeping in the Nether or End causes the bed to explode.
Does a bed catch fire?
It is not flammable and will not catch fire from spreading flames, though it can ignite from direct contact with lava in Java Edition.
Can I change a bed's color after crafting it?
Yes. In Java Edition, combining a bed with a dye in a crafting grid recolors it without losing its inventory or orientation.
