minecraft:bedrockBedrock is an indestructible block that forms the impenetrable boundary of every dimension. With a hardness of -1 and blast resistance of 3,600,000 — the highest in the game — it cannot be broken or obtained in Survival mode and drops nothing.
Uses
- World Boundary — Seals the bottom of the Overworld and the roof and floor of the Nether, keeping players out of the void.
- Wither Trapping — Its indestructibility makes it ideal for building wither cages and other blast-proof containment.
- End Portal Frame — Forms the exit portal frame and the pillars atop End spikes that hold End crystals.

Can I break bedrock in Survival?
No. Bedrock cannot be destroyed by mining in Survival — only Creative mode or commands remove it.
