About Oyster
"Maybe there are pearls inside?"
Oysters are obtained by fishing with a big fishing net at level 16 Fishing, drift net fishing, panning at the Digsite, and as drops from many sea-themed monsters. They were introduced with the Sea Slug Quest in 2002.
Opening an oyster has a 25/32 chance to yield an oyster pearl (worth around 33 coins) and a 7/32 chance to be empty. Oyster pearls are used in Crafting to make pearl bolt tips, pearl items, and other crafting outputs.

Added to the game with the Sea Slug quest.
Market Strategy
- Drop volume from rock/sand/ammonite crabs gives a steady supply floor
- High 11,000 buy limit suits bulk crafting flips
- 7/32 empty chance is the main loss on opening — factor into ROI
- Oyster pearl bolt tip demand drives mid-game spikes
