About Oak blackjack(o)

"An offensive blackjack."

Oak blackjack(o) is the offensive variant of the oak blackjack, sold by Ali's Discount Wares in Al Kharid after completing the Rogue Trader minigame. Requiring 10 Attack and 10 Thieving to wield, it favors knockout success over block-up resistance and is used in Pollnivneach to lure-and-knockout villagers, bandits, and Menaphite Thugs for repeatable Thieving XP. Mostly a stepping stone between the base oak blackjack and the willow tier.

History (2)

  1. 2006-08-22

Renamed from 'Oak blackjack(a)' to 'Oak blackjack(o)' for consistency with offensive/defensive suffixes.

  2. 2005-08-15

Released alongside the Rogue Trader minigame and Pollnivneach Thieving content.

Market Strategy

  • Demand is structurally tied to Pollnivneach Thieving training population.
  • GE buy limit of 125 per 4 hours keeps daily flips small.
  • Supply comes via Ali's Discount Wares at 400 gp - hard price ceiling for arbitrage.
  • High alch of 240 gp is below GE - never alch.

Trading Tips

Watch Thieving XP buff news; oak blackjack(o) sees demand spikes when Pollnivneach knockout meta returns.
Cheap NPC source caps profit potential - flip volume not margin.
Avoid if Maple blackjack is on cooldown nerf threads.
