"A razor sharp sword."

The mithril sword is a free-to-play stab weapon requiring 20 Attack to wield. It can be smithed from a single mithril bar at 55 Smithing for 50 XP and is also stocked at the Varrock Swordshop and Cassie's Shield Shop. Most players prefer the mithril scimitar for combat training because it attacks faster on the slash style, so the sword sees the most use in shop runs and as low-level alch fodder.
