The mace's real value is the Inquisitor armour set synergy: each piece on its own grants 0.5% crush accuracy and damage, but combined with the mace each piece scales to 2.5% and the full four-piece set reaches 7.5%. That bonus makes the mace the best-in-slot crush option against crush-weak targets like The Nightmare itself, Tekton in Chambers of Xeric, Kalphite Queen and Cerberus.
