Gryphon feathers are members fletching and Hunter materials introduced alongside the Sailing skill expansion in late 2025. They drop in bulk from the three gryphon variants found around Varlamore and the Sailing-era frontier islands, with shellbane gryphons being by far the densest source per kill.
In fletching, gryphon feathers behave as a 1:1 substitute for ordinary feathers across arrows, darts, and bolts. The big upside is the supply line: a single shellbane gryphon trip dumps tens of feathers per kill, which makes them a cheap drop-in for high-volume Fletching grinds without touching the chicken-feather GE supply.
The feathers double as the recharge consumable for the horn of plenty, the Hunter-rumour buff item added in the same content drop. Storing them inside the huntsman's kit (post January 2026 update) frees up inventory slots during long Hunter sessions.
