Granite (2kg) is the mid-size chunk mined from granite rocks at 45 Mining for 60 experience per ore. The most common training spots are the Bandit Camp Quarry in the Kharidian Desert, the Necropolis mine, and the Cape Conch mine. Each rock respawns after 5 seconds, making granite one of the fastest XP/hour mining methods in the mid-game once the player can carry the weight efficiently.
Beyond Mining XP, granite is used in the Enakhra's Lament and King's Ransom quests, as a Construction material for the volcanic habitat in player-owned houses, and to recolour the Rock Golem pet. The 2kg chunk is the standard size most players default to because it balances XP per ore against inventory weight.
