About Gilded hasta
"A rune-tipped, one-handed hasta, with gold plate."
> *"A rune-tipped, one-handed hasta, with gold plate."*
The gilded hasta is the rune-tier hasta dressed in a gold-plated finish, an aesthetic-only twist on the standard rune hasta whose combat stats are identical. It is one of the rarest gilded weapons in Old School RuneScape, dropped only from Treasure Trail reward caskets at Hard, Elite, and Master tiers, and it cannot be poisoned despite the underlying weapon being a spear. Wielding it requires 40 Attack along with the Barbarian Training prerequisite from Tai Bwo Wannai for hasta usage, making it a flex item for early-to-mid game adventurers who want to swing a six-figure flair piece while training Slayer or doing Barbarian Assault.

History (2)
- 2017-04-19GE price adjustment
Grand Exchange guide price was manually corrected after gilded weapons were used to inflate trade-screen scams.

Added with the Old School Bounds patch alongside other rune-tier gilded weapons such as the gilded scimitar and gilded boots.
Market Strategy
- Low buy limit of 70 and rare clue supply create volatile spikes whenever a clue-focused update or relic launches.
- Treat the gilded hasta as a long-hold flex asset rather than a flip target; price drift trends upward over years.
- High alch return of 12,480 gp is meaningless at GE price: never high-alch this weapon.
