The black bead is one of the four coloured beads imps drop, gathered together during Imp Catcher to craft the amulet of accuracy. Outside of the quest it has near-zero economic role - the alch is 2 coins - but it is the easiest of the four beads to acquire since imps are densely populated in F2P. The four bead colours are widely believed to nod to the four alchemical steps of the Magnum Opus.
