The beginner wand supports Standard Spellbook autocast with both offensive and defensive casting styles. It cannot autocast Ancient Magicks or Arceuus spells. As a one-handed weapon, it allows a shield or book in the off-hand slot.

The beginner wand is the cheapest MTA reward, requiring only 30 points in three categories and 300 enchantment points. Players typically acquire it early in the MTA grind and trade it in for the apprentice wand shortly after. Each subsequent upgrade requires trading in the previous tier plus additional points.
