About Armadyl chaps
"Armadyl blessed dragonhide chaps."
Armadyl chaps are the Armadyl-blessed variant of black dragonhide chaps in OSRS, released with the Treasure Trail Expansion on 12 June 2014. They share black d'hide chaps' offensive and defensive bonuses but waive the 40 Defence requirement and add a +1 prayer bonus, making them best-in-slot legs for 1-Defence ranged pures. Supply is exclusive to hard clue reward caskets at roughly 1/1,625, with Armadyl alignment providing aggression protection in the God Wars Dungeon.

History (2)
- 2021-09-22
Defence requirement removed, making the blessed chaps fully pure-accessible.
- 2014-06-12
Released with the Treasure Trail Expansion as one of four new god-aligned blessed dragonhide sets.
Market Strategy
- Demand concentrated in 1-Defence pures, mid-level rangers, and clue-set collectors.
- GE buy limit of 8 per 4 hours severely caps merchant volume.
- High alch of 3,600 gp is far below GE price - never alch.
- Supply tracks hard clue completion velocity - droughts can spike price quickly.
Trading Tips
Compare the four god variants - Armadyl and Ancient often command a small fashionscape premium.
Watch clue-rebalance patch notes - prayer bonus and DR changes have moved prices historically.
Low-limit item - small bid-ask spreads can produce respectable per-flip margin.
