The Ancient plateskirt is a cosmetic recolour of the rune plateskirt awarded from hard clue scroll caskets at a rate of 1/1,625. It shares identical combat stats with the standard rune plateskirt and other god-themed variants (Saradomin, Zamorak, Guthix, Armadyl, Bandos), so the choice between them is purely aesthetic or tied to the matching armour set look.

The plateskirt requires 40 Defence to wear and provides solid defensive bonuses (+51 stab, +49 slash, +47 crush, +49 ranged) along with a +1 prayer bonus. It became available to free-to-play players on 7 April 2016, making it one of the few god-aligned cosmetics F2P can show off.
